United 93

Fantastic movie. I have always been interested in learning more about the attacks of September 11th, 2001. This movie was heartbreaking to watch, but the movies that make you feel something whether it be happiness or sadness are the most powerful. Seeing the terrified and confused faces of the people aboard that plane made it all feel very real. I could not imagine calling my family from a flight, telling them its been hijacked, then telling them goodbye. As we talked about in class, there is a line between knowing your going to die, and knowing your going to die and trying to save as many other people as you can. There are no words to describe what crossing over that line must feel like, but that is exactly what the people on flight United 93 did.

  1. I agree with Dakota when she says " I could not imagine calling my family from a flight, telling them its been hijacked, then telling them goodbye." Thats what many of the passengers on flight 93 had to do and I don't know how I would be able to bring myself to do that. Knowing 100% you're going to die has to be one the scariest things in life but being able to bare that and save lives is unthinkable.

  2. I agree with Dakota how seeing the emotions of the people on board flight United 93 made the movie really emotional and gave the audience such an impact that the facial expressions and emotions that these people went through will forever be in my head.

  3. Dakota made a good point that this was a very accurate depiction of what occurred on flight 93 and that seeing what the passengers had to do was extremely tragic with calling their families and realizing they will not survive is unimaginable and would never ever want to think of living through that.

  4. I agree with Dakota how seeing the emotions of the people on the flight really pulled the viewer in and gave you a sense of what was really happening. Realizing they will not survive on the flight is a serious situation that all happened so fast. They didn't get to say goodbye to their loved ones and everyone who died that did will never be forgotten.

  5. I agree with dakota. I am too fascinated with the events and how the movie was depressing but so very real. When they showed the passengers faces once the plane was hijacked it seemed so horrific. And I also discussed in my post that line of when you realize you are going to die feels like, because natural human instinct is to survive.

  6. I agree with Dakota i feel the same way. I would hate to call mom or someone to tell them that they are never going to talk to me again or see me again. They made the movie feel so really at times i felt like i was there with them.

  7. Dakota, I agree with you! I really liked this movie and wanted to learn more about 9/11 . This film showed me what actually happened that day and what events led up this. People one Flight 93 were very brave as they trie to take control of their life back. This film was extremely sad. I will never forget those who lost their lives in 9/11.
